Seminyak is a beach resort area at the southern end of Bali, Indonesia, with many luxury hotels, villas and spas, as well as high-end shopping and restaurants. Sleek bars and clubs with busy sunset scenes line Seminyak and Petitenget beaches, which are wide, west-facing stretches of Indian Ocean shoreline with gray sand and good surfing conditions.

The fabulous Seminyak is the center of life for hordes of the island's expats, many of whom own boutiques, design clothes, surf, or do seemingly nothing at all. It may be immediately north of Kuta and Legian, but in many respects, Seminyak feels almost like it's on another island.

Seminyak’s beaches are among Bali's best places to enjoy amazing sunsets. This includes exotic Petitenget Beach. Only a few steps from the beach is a major temple of the same name. A few more minutes from here are some of Bali’s best chill out spots.

You can enjoy excellent shopping in Seminyak. Its walking streets are lined with a great mix of designer boutiques. You’ll also find small but varied art shops and lifestyle brand outlets almost every hundred meters. There’s everything from designer label resortwear and swimwear and glamorous evening gowns to sterling silver and exquisite jewelry. Some stores sell quirky homeware items, too.
